Areas of focus

Four connected markets. One commercial perspective.

Brora’s areas of focus are distinct but related; the judgement applied to each is the same.

Maritime

Chartering, freight and commercial opportunities connected with shipping, maritime assets, logistics and related markets.

Brora may charter vessels from third-party owners, procure freight capacity or arrange maritime transportation for cargo interests and counterparties. It does not own or technically manage the vessels involved.

Trading

Physical flows in energy, fuels and related commodities, and the commercial structures around them.

The focus is on physical commodity flows, transportation and the contractual structures connecting them, considered with appropriate counterparty, operational and financial controls.

Energy Transition

Commercial opportunities connected with lower-carbon fuels, maritime decarbonisation and evolving energy supply chains.

Areas of interest include methanol, ammonia and other alternative fuels, together with the logistics, infrastructure and trade flows that may develop around them.

Selected Projects

Longer-term commercial initiatives, investments and partnerships considered on their individual merits.

Projects may span maritime, trading and energy markets where the commercial rationale, counterparties and risk profile are sufficiently clear.
